We are uniquely placed to help you conceptualise, design, develop, implement, physically perform complex early clinical studies and then help with assessing the results. While many CROs are able to assist with one or more of these roles, practically no one can truly see a project through from start to finish in particular, maintaining the physical conduct of the study under its own direct control.
It would be one thing if we were able to do this with respect to healthy volunteer studies. The fact that we can deliver the same service for early clinical studies in patients really sets us apart. We are able to provide a genuine alternative to the model in which a Contract Research Organisation is hired to implement and manage a study but with the physical conduct performed by clinics. Our approach, which sees the study managed and conducted in-house, is able to deliver better data quality, allow for more complex assessments, save time and – ultimately – deliver much better value for money.

Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin is one of the very best equipped university hospitals in Europe. It has invested heavily in state-of-the-art imaging facilities, diagnostic technologies and biomarker research, validation and analysis capabilities. These technical investments are supported by a world class team of clinicians and researchers.

Our ‘centres of excellence’ approach allows us to seamlessly integrate their use in early clinical studies. We are also able to provide support services around them. For instance, we can provide central imaging analysis using experts that are often contracted to support dedicated imaging core labs.

Constantly striving to innovate and set new standards

We are very rarely happy to stand still. We do take time to reflect on what we have been able to achieve to date and then we go about assessing how we can improve our performance still further. How can we better facilitate access to expertise and technologies?

What new technologies and capabilities can we harness? If we can enrol 75 patients at our unit and complete half a Proof of Concept study, how can we go on and enrol all 150 patients?
